Most employers won’t do a credit check before hiring you. Some will.
Depends on the type of work you are seeking. I know a lot of companies do credit checks now. Temp services usually do not, and they can get you in the door so that the company will hire you on despite your credit. You may want to take a look at that route.

Your first priority should be figuring out exactly how much you owe to whom. The next priority should be figuring out how you can pay it back. If possible, consider asking your parents for a loan to take care of your immediate debts while you look for a job.
