			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A friend of mine went on an interview for a senior level position with very large financial institution. The hiring manager turned out to be a real jerk. He cursed the entire time, thought my friends experience was spotty at best, never asked any questions and spent the bulk of the interview telling my friend how great he (the hiring manager) was. He kind of reminded my friend of a volcano (spewing smoke and rocks) and, like my trip to Arenal, my friend said he would not want to be around when a real eruption occurred.</p>
<p>Fortunately for my friend, there were obvious warning signs and even if he got a job offer he would not take it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://www.ihatejobhunting.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/373430.jpg" />The U.S. earned the top spot in a new college ranking system that looked at what countries provide the best higher education, according to a study coming out of Australia.</p>
<p>The study&#8217;s authors, from the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne, measured the higher education systems in 48 countries. The schools were assessed in four different areas: output (research and its impact, plus producing a qualified workforce that meets demands); resources (outlay from government and private sector); connectivity (international networks and collaboration); and environment (government regulation, campus diversity and opportunities), according to a PR Newswire press release.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tourism is a tradeable service activity that could allow some African countries to generate significant growth. Tanzania, given its unique natural assets, is an ideal candidate. However, despite being so richly endowed in touristic resources, Tanzania receives very few tourists and revenues from tourism. To explore the determinants of this performance, I conduct an international survey for upscale hotel managers to measure supply-side constraints on the operation of hotels. The survey reveals that hotels in the safari area in Tanzania are more expensive than comparable hotels, and that this difference in price cannot be accounted for by differences in supply constraints.</p>

<p>The unemployment rate in the United States fell from 9.1 percent in the summer of 2011 to 8.3 percent in February. This decline, the largest six-month drop in the unemployment rate since 1984, has surprised many economic forecasters. The decline is even more surprising because recent real GDP growth appears to have been around trend at best, whereas in early 1984, growth was more than 7 percent.
