job hunting advice
Atlanta asked:

i live in Gwinette county G.A and i’ve been jobless for almost a year. Most my experience is in warehouse assembly. I’ve tried applying to about 3 or 4 different warehouse positions and was told i would get a call back when they have a open position(which never happened) i really need a job becuase i have medical bills coming in and no way to pay it off. Where should i go to apply at, that requires no experience. I’m interested in retail store jobs but don’t know how to go about getting a job at one and i have no experience in retail. Although im pretty confident i can do the job. Any tips on where i should go to look for a job? how do i go about it?

please help!

just go and fill out an application at any retail store! retail is super easy and they train you on everything. just tell them you’re willingness to learn and great personality will overcome any lack of experience! best wishes

Go to staffing agencies. Many of them have clients that hire for warehouse assembly. Especially if your need is urgent, accept what the agencies can offer you until you find a permanent gig that suits you.

The fastest route is to use internet Job websites where by you submit a CV or scroll through the available jobs and submit CVs. Doing it this way you can easily apply for hundreds of jobs fairly quickly.
Using one of these sites i applied for about 200 positions within a week. And it worked out.
Alternatively go down a high street and talk to the manager in each store that interests you.
All about numbers really, if you do only 3 or 4 a week/month it will take you forever, Aim for atleast 25 per week.
