According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of perseverance is continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition. However, the word severance (which means the act or process of severing) is embedded in perseverance. Not as strange as it seems (but I will let you look look up that one). Okay, back on topic. While some people would probably disagree, I think that luck is an important part of job search. Yes, you do need to have the right credentials and experience, but that is almost irrelevant if you dont get your resume in front of the right person at the right time. Of course, all of the luck in the world will not help if you dont have the best resume with the best experience (which of course must match the job). So, part of increasing your chances of having your resume in the right place at the right time is letting people know you are available.
